Project Overview

Goal

The goal was to make it easier for students to find and enroll in courses online, streamlining the process and improving access to education.

Problem

Senac faced overcrowding and inconsistent enrollment nationwide. The project created an online platform to streamline the process.

Research and Analysis

Shadowing

Exploratory research involved observing the enrollment process and identifying pain points of Senac's secretaries.

User Interviews

Interviews with students were conducted to understand their experiences with the enrollment process.

Key Findings

1

Time constraint

Senac’s office hours clashed with students’ work schedules, making enrollment difficult.
2

Technology limitation

Some students didn’t have a computer at home, so they had to go to Senac’s offices to enroll.
3

Lack of process consistency

A big challenge was standardizing registration across Brazil’s 28 states, each with different requirements.

Project Outcome

1

Implementation

Senac’s team launched a marketing and communication campaign to introduce students and candidates to the new online enrollment option.
2

Impact

Since there was no prior platform, we lacked comparative data, but we noticed notably fewer crowds at the in-person enrollment office.
3

Operational Impact

The online platform launched, instantly easing admin work. Students adopted it fast, proving it simplifies enrollment and boosts access for Brazil’s adult learners.
